Head Bartender

We can’t wait to open our first UK hotel outside of London…and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for a Head Bartender to join our team and play a crucial part in successfully launching our brand in this new neighbourhood. Reporting to the Bar Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting to lead the bar team in creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests come to wind down and enjoy themselves.

The Hox in Edinburgh will boast 214 bedrooms influenced by the Georgian heritage of the building and city (including the introduction of a new room category for the Hox), a main restaurant and big lobby & bar, a large event space and The Apartment - our unique meetings and events concept.

Experience Italian glam and romance at Patatino, our all-day restaurant, designed to capture the essence of long, joyful, and convivial meals shared with friends on a sun-soaked Amalfi coast holiday. Imagine pizza, pasta and a Negroni or two!

What you’ll do…

• Support with running a fun and fast paced bar operation day and night.
• Be creative and share ideas to develop our menu – play a part in innovating our bar concept and staying on (and even ahead) of trends.
• Know your product and systems inside out.
• Make whatever the mood calls for, from soft drinks to masterful cocktails that change with the seasons.
• Work with the rest of the team in keeping things running smoothly.
• Lead your team by example, driving service standards that strive for the best for the guest; encouraging your team to grow and develop, the Hox way.
