Job Description
At Mercure Melbourne Doncaster, we are looking for a reliable and skilled Handyperson to support the maintenance and upkeep of our property. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and being part of a dynamic hospitality environment, we would love to hear from you. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s facilities to the highest standards, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work across the property
- Attend to plumbing, painting, plastering, tiling, and minor mechanical repairs
- Assist with air conditioning maintenance and basic system checks
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Support the team in maintaining high health & safety standards
- Identify and report any maintenance issues proactively
Qualifications
- Experience in general building maintenance (plumbing, painting, tiling, etc.)
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment (preferred)
- Trade qualification (advantageous)
- Confident using hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
