Handy Person – Part-time

We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable part-time Handyperson who wants more than just a job. • Performing general maintenance and repairs in the hotel
• Assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel
• Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels’ Property Management System (PMS).
• Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues
• Ensure all tasks are performed with urgency and in the safest manner possible
• Assist in managing 3rd party contractors
• Communicate effectively with hotel staff to address urgent maintenance concerns

• Excellent communication skills
• A strong eye for detail
• Self-motivated, punctual and reliable, with a proactive approach to work
• Basic knowledge of general repair work or DIY
• Competent in the use of basic computer programs
• Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
• Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts, including weekends
• Previous Handyman Experience in a hotel or guest service environment preferred
