Job Description

Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest’s stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. Responsibilities include registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, answering telephones and exceeding guest expectations. Ensure guest's completely satisfied prior to departure.

  • Greets, welcomes, escorts and bid farewell to VIP’s, special attention and regular guests.
  •  Contacts guests by telephone daily in accordance with Guest Contact Policy.
  •  Is present in the lobby during the major check in & check out times and serves as Lobby ambassador.
  •  Ensures that the VIP and special attention list is prepared each evening for the next day.
  •  Ensures that all gifts, amenities are placed in the rooms in a uniform way. 
  •  Makes sure that all announcements and general information to guests are displayed appropriately and correctly.
  •  Uses tact and diplomacy in maintaining a quiet and elegant atmosphere in the lobby and lounge areas.
  •  Maintains a logbook during the day with appropriate entries for the attention of management.
  •  Inspects guest areas for coverage, appearance and supports and follows up when necessary.

Qualifications

  • University degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remain calm and courteous at all times
  • Professional & neat appearance, presentable personality.
