Job Description

To receive guests in the most hospitable manner. All guests arriving to the hotel will be welcomed and departing guests fare-welled in the most courteous and friendly manner.  To receive and ensure correct delivery of guests’ luggage to and from rooms, airport and cars and assist all guests with inquiries and requests.  To ensure guests cars are parked and collected without damage at all times providing efficient and courteous service to hotel guests and visitors

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Welcome guests at the main entrance with the greeting appropriate to the time of day
  • Assist arriving and departing guests by opening and closing car and taxi doors
  • Adhere to guest check-in and check-out procedures pertaining to luggage handling
  • Assist guests with heavy packages, coats, suitcase, etc. courteously and quickly, before having to be asked
  • Guide the guest to the Front Desk
  • Be familiar with hotel layout and memorize the preferred route for escorting guests
  • Drive the resident to the villa in accordance with hotel standards
  • Room the guest in accordance with hotel standards
  • Provide information to guests about the hotel facilities and services
  • Learn and use names of guests, especially repeat and long staying guests
  • Keep the baggage room clean and in order
  • Use the Duty Log to document matters of importance
  • Maintain a clean and tidy entrance, drive-way and lobby
  • Assist guests  of the hotel with the parking and delivery of their vehicles
  • Issue parking coupons to guests  who require such service
  • Ensure a free flow of traffic at the main entrance and car park
  • When parking a vehicle, ensure that it is properly locked; that no valuables are left in the vehicle and note down any damage to the vehicle
  • Report any damage or valuables in the vehicle prior to parking the vehicle
  • Ensure smooth delivery of the vehicle 
  • Ensure that uniforms are kept neat and clean 
  • Ensure car keys are in key locker and well organized
  • Drive Guest in a Hotel car in a safely manner
  • Keep Hotel car clean and in a good repair
  • Be able to drive a buggy
  • Recharge the buggy at the end of each shift
  • Carry out any reasonable request of your supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Good English and French  language verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers and managers as part of a team
  • Ability to be attentive to resident needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to promote positive relations with hotel residents
  • Ability to exercise good judgment with difficult residents
  • Understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

Qualifications

  • Secondary/High School education
  • Possess a valid driving license
  • Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality or customer service related industry
  • Minimum five years’ driving experience with clean driving records
