Located in the heart of Broadbeach and just 200m from the beach, Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is a five-star luxury hotel featuring 296 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, 10 sophisticated event spaces, 2 bars, a restaurant, a multi-level pool and fitness centre.

We are seeking an experienced Groups, Conference & Events Executive to manage group accommodation and event enquiries from start to finish and deliver seamless, high-end experiences. You will own the process - responding to enquiries, converting business, planning every detail, and ensuring flawless execution of meetings, conferences and social events. You’ll work closely with clients and internal stakeholders, supported by a dedicated C&E Coordinator to assist with administration and logistics.


Job Description

  • Respond to inbound leads with speed, accuracy and commercial awareness
  • Convert business and maximise revenue opportunities through effective selling and upselling
  • Plan and execute events end-to-end, from proposal through to post-event follow up
  • Proactively communicate with clients to understand their needs and personalize events to exceed expectations
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, BEOs, event reports and run pre-event meetings
  • Showcase your passion for people and luxury hospitality by fostering strong client relationships, repeat business and excellent reviews
  • Consistently achieve or exceed set KPIs
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the Hotel's goals are met, including Reservations, Front Office, Culinary and Food & Beverage
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting across all sales and events management systems

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • A luxury attitude, strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Proven experience in event planning/coordination (ideally in a luxury hotel)
  • Self-motivated sales mindset with strong negotiation and upselling ability
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills, managing multiple events with ease
  • Experience preparing BEOs, running pre-con meetings, and producing event reports
  • Impeccable attention to detail across proposals, contracts and execution
  • Proficiency with Opera Cloud and CRM systems
