Job Description

General Manager - Legacy Yen Tu - MGallery
Be an ambassador of the MGallery brand and the property as General Manager, where your leadership, strong interpersonal skills and strategic vision will drive an engaged team, guest satisfaction and maximized operating results. You will bring your strong commercial and business acumen, and tenacity to drive the top line to exceed targets, and to position the property in the luxury marketplace.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the overall management and strategic direction of the property and support all departments in the achievement of operational targets
  • Maximize the property in terms of profit and management of financials
  • Ensure full compliance with operating controls and legislation in all areas of the business
  • Building your team
  • Actively involved in the recruitment process of positions within the property to select the best fit
  • Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment where all employees are encouraged to provide input
  • Develop relationships within the local community
  • Driving service culture
  • Maintain product and service quality standards to exceed guest expectations
  • Promote the brand and ensure all brand essentials and standards are in place and executed consistently.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Prior 5+ years experience in luxury hotel management essential
  • Strong match with Accor’s Inspiring Leader capability framework
  • Strong Educational background
  • Good command of English 
  • Good understanding of the local market is preferred
  • Experience with owners relationship

You will live the brand by:

  • Has a strong focus on quality, Guest experience (RPS) and online reputation
  • Is a pro for story telling of the hotel, ensure story of the hotel is experienced by all senses, and intensively “live” the premises
  • Is immersed into the destination and culturally aware
  • Is on the field, very close to the team, managing lean structures, encouraging initiatives in service, giving space to staff members
  • Gets high proximity with the Guests, interacting with them at key moments of the day to share the story of the hotel,offering personal welcome and farewell, seeking for touchpoints during the stay, being a public relations ambassador of the hotel, organizing events linked to destination in the hotels, has a resort & leisure background
  • Comes preferably with a background in a franchise or managed environment, and experience of very close relations with small independent owners
