Job Description

To assist the Assistant Chief Accountant in overseeing and directing all aspects of operation concerning cash receipt, disbursement, and the company’s bank account, including internal control.

To assist the Chief Accountant in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Accounts Payable Section.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

 

  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping or related roles is generally preferred.
    • Familiarity with general cashier and accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and ledger reconciliation.

 

  • Skills:

    • Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in processing payments and identifying discrepancies.
    • Numerical and Analytical Skills: Comfortable with numbers and performing reconciliations.
    • Organization and Time Management: Ability to handle a large volume of transactions and meet payment deadlines.
    • Communication Skills: Liaising with vendors, and internal teams, and resolving discrepancies.
    • IT Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Knowledge of Financial Regulations: Familiarity with VAT, tax, and other legal implications of payables.
