Company Description

Overlooking the Mersey River, the Novotel Devonport boasts an unrivalled waterfront location, unique design, outstanding service and an exciting food & beverage concept.

This is a new position within our team which will involve leading the team across all areas of the Front Office.  No two days are the same.  You are able to manage your time and can handle juggling numerous tasks at once.  You have an outcome-drive approach to performance and results.


Job Description

  • Oversee Front Office duties ensuring all guests are accommodated according to their particular requests
  • Maintaining high-quality guest services primarily in the areas of arrivals, departures, rooming, special needs and guest enquiries
  • Assist Front Office management to operate a highly proficient and productive department
  • Lead and mentor the team through training and development with the assistance of the Front Office management team
  • Respond to guest needs; resolving any issues that may arise

Qualifications

  • A natural, bright and bubbly customer service style that sets you apart from the rest
  • A commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our guests
  • Natural leadership skills with demonstrated results in developing and motivating teams
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm during peak service periods
  • Service-oriented with an eye for detail
  • Front Office experience with previous supervisory experience advantageous
  • Knowledge of Opera PSM is a bonus
  • Full Tasmanian Manual Drivers Licence
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and First Aid, or an ability to attain
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
