Job Brief

The Quality Assurance Manager ensures that all areas of quality and standards are being met throughout the resort through the use of quality visits, quality audits, reports and tracking of various quality scores.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

  • Overseeing a company's environmental practices and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
  • Developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting results to senior management.
  • Creating, executing, and monitoring environmental strategies.
  • Promoting green methods to vendors, customers, and coworkers.
  • Ensuring ethical business practices, including sourcing sustainable materials.
  • Ensure that the hotel is compliant with HACCP Food Safety Management requirements at all times. Ensuring that the municipality local order/regulations/guidelines are complied with.
  • To ensure kitchen work practices reflect written procedures.
  • To conduct inspections for Bars/Restaurants and Receiving to ensure City Municipality regulations are being adhered to. Manage and maintain food safety documentation and records Monitor and check the personal hygiene conditions & working habits of the staff.
  • Maintaining Environment Health and Safety standards in the hotel as per local guidelines Complete and provides regular internal audit reports 
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional 
  • To laterally coordinate with concerned departments in day to day activitie

  • Quality audits
    • Review all NC (Non-Compliant) standards as per the official LRA reports
    • Allocate action points to all necessary managers/HODs
    • Extract and distribute all LRA MAPs (Management Action Plans) to relevant managers/HODs
    • Update all MAP action points on LRA reporting system
    • Monitor and update completion of all MAPs
  • Make Quality Your Passion
    • Create and distribute daily quality dashboard
    • Ensure all relevant information is shared with the departments including monthly and yearly scores
  • Quality self-assessments
    • Conduct quality audits in line with the official LRA audit check lists
    • Distribute the reports to the necessary departments
    • Update the self-assessment audits on the LRA reporting site
    • Monitor and update completion of all self-assessments MAPs
  • Review and updating of SOPs with departments
  • Validation of all quality scores for departmental and resort BSC
  • Submit to finance before the 15th of each month Quality mentions for allowance
  • Quality updates for monthly awards/communication ceremonies
  • Duty manager shifts
  • Reports for RM and Exec team as required for all quality related information
  • Assist Senior Management in resolving guests complaints when required
  • Arrange for mystery auditors and follow up on mystery shopper reports
  • Self-assessments to be updated on LRA reporting site
  • Schedule and chair monthly quality committee meetings
  • Quality Manager also ensures that proper follow up of quality action plans, responses to guests' surveys and reviews as well as completion of LRA action plans are conducted in a timely manner
  • Be present on the floor to observe the guest service delivery in a quality manner consistently
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related discipline.
  • Experience in FMCG or similar environment, with team management experience.
  • HACCP Level 3 qualification and experience in retailer quality systems.
  • Knowledge of BRC compliance and audits.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Licensing or Certifications for Sustainability Manager
  • List any licenses or certifications required by the position: LEED, ISO, EPA, ISO14001, PMP, WELL, USGBC, TRUE, GRI, TSCA

  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical advances and consumer trends.
  • Passion for coaching and developing teams.
  • Diligent, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving.
  • Driven to succeed with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
