Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Food Runner to join the pre-opening team of Delano London. Working closely with the restaurant and Culinary teams, you'll play a crucial role in the rhythm of service, ensuring every dish reaches the right guest quickly, accurately and beautifully.
What you'll do...
- Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct table and guest promptly, confidently and with accurate dish identification.
- Learn the menu, key ingredients and allergens so you can announce dishes clearly and answer basic guest questions.
- Coordinate closely with the pass, waiters and managers to maintain strong pacing and communication throughout service.
- Check plates for presentation and accuracy before leaving the pass and immediately flag any concerns.
- Support table maintenance, clearing, resetting, water service and other floor tasks as required.
- Keep service stations, trays and equipment clean, organised and fully stocked.
- Assist with pre-service mise en place and end-of-service breakdown and cleaning.
- Pay close attention to allergies, dietary requirements, VIPs and table numbers and follow all communication procedures.
- Support Room Service, Private Dining and other Food & Beverage areas when required.
- Follow food safety, Health & Safety and company standards at all times.
Qualifications
What we're looking for...
- You are energetic, attentive and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Previous experience as a runner or in hospitality is useful but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a close team.
- You have strong attention to detail and can learn table numbers, dishes and service sequences quickly.
- You remain calm and positive under pressure and take pride in doing the small things well.
- You are flexible to work breakfast, evenings, weekends and key hospitality moments.
