Job Description
What you'll be doing
- Leading and motivating the team during busy service periods
- Supervising restaurant, bar and in room dining operations to ensure smooth day-to-day service
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving guest enquiries with confidence
- Training and supporting team members to meet Novotel service standards
- Preparing and serving quality espresso coffee, cocktails and other beverages
- Providing bar service, and being responsible for cash handling and POS transactions
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless food and beverage delivery
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and food safety
- Monitoring rosters and staff schedules to meet operational requirements
Qualifications
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar or hotel food & beverage environment essential
- Leadership experience or the confidence and capability to step into a junior supervisory role
- Strong barista skills and experience preparing espresso coffee is an advantage
- Experience in bar service and a passion for food and beverage
- A friendly, outgoing and positive attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead by example during service
- Flexibility to work breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Current RSA certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Australian working rights are essential to be considered for this role
