Job Description

Key Duties include: 

  • Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food & beverage service is provided to all guests.
  • Protect and maintain control of food & beverage service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
  • Control and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the food service areas to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
  • Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.
  • Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
  • Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles.
  • Maintain clean and neat presentation of bar and restaurant area(s), following set opening, closing and daily procedures.
  • Follow daily procedures including cashier close ups and accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications

Experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a food and beverage outlet.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of beverages including beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
