Summary:
As the Food & Beverage Operations Manager at Banyan Tree Dubai, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all operational aspects of the hotel's food and beverage offerings. Your responsibilities will encompass managing restaurant and bar operations, room service, banquets, and catering events. Together with the Director, you will drive departmental strategies, ensure brand service excellence, and uphold high standards of guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Assist in daily operations of food and beverage outlets to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant, bar, room service, banquets, and catering operations to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food and beverage costs effectively.
Strategic Leadership:
- Execute brand service strategy and initiatives to meet or exceed guest expectations and financial goals.
Developing and Executing Food and Beverage Strategy:
- Collaborate with team to develop promotions, menu items, and presentations.
Leading Food and Beverage Teams:
- Review business opportunities and address challenges promptly.
- Facilitate communication among staff and provide training as needed.
- Ensure consistent administration of policies and procedures.
Guest Relations:
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address concerns.
- Implement strategies to enhance guest experience and exceed expectations.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Uphold brand standards and service procedures for consistency and quality.
- Monitor adherence to regulations and licensing requirements.
Financial Management:
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring to achieve financial targets.
- Analyze financial reports to optimize revenue and control costs.
- Implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining service excellence.
This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences in alignment with Banyan Tree's brand standards.
Experience/Certificates/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive international leadership experience in managing large-scale food & beverage operations in an upscale luxury hotel environment, with experience in key cities/resort destinations globally.
- Previous experience in a diverse, global work environment is essential.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent financial management abilities.
- Ability to motivate and develop teams effectively.
- Creative thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of current food and beverage trends and industry best practices.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- High degree of professionalism with robust human resources management and business acumen capabilities.
