Job Description

 

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the hotel's restaurants, bars, or banquet facilities.
  • Support service teams in providing excellent guest experiences, from taking orders to serving food and beverages.
  • Work alongside kitchen staff in preparation, plating, and presentation of meals in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Observe and learn the process of inventory management, including stock rotation and supplies ordering.
  • Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their needs are met and responding to any special requests.
  • Assist with guest inquiries, complaints, and ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Help manage seating arrangements, reservations, and waitlists for dining areas.
  • Observe and learn about food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage served meets the hotel’s quality standards.
  • Monitor presentation and consistency of food, beverages, and service.
  • Participate in training sessions to learn about service standards, hospitality practices, and food & beverage operations.
  • Attend department meetings to discuss operational strategies, guest feedback, and industry trends.
  • Assist in setting up and servicing events, including banquets, conferences, and private functions.
  • Help with coordination between kitchen, service staff, and guests during events to ensure smooth operation.
  • Work closely with the F&B team, including chefs, servers, bartenders, and supervisors, to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.
  • Learn the roles of different team members and contribute to overall team performance.

Qualifications

 

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or diploma program in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is an advantage but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for providing high-quality guest service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to various tasks and situations.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training will be provided if necessary).
