Job Summary

At Fairmont Doha, we are committed to providing our guests with world-class wellness experiences. As a Fitness Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of the fitness center while delivering exceptional guest service. You will ensure that guests and members have a seamless and enjoyable fitness experience, providing assistance, guidance, and support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Experience

• Welcome guests and members to the fitness center, providing a warm and professional first impression.
• Assist guests with gym equipment usage, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident in their workouts.
• Offer basic fitness guidance and promote wellness programs, personal training sessions, and spa services.
• Address guest inquiries and requests promptly, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience.

Facility Maintenance & Safety

• Ensure all fitness equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working condition.
• Monitor the fitness area to ensure guests follow safety guidelines and proper gym etiquette.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Fitness Manager.
• Maintain high hygiene standards by regularly sanitizing equipment and replenishing towels, water, and amenities.

Operations & Administration

• Assist in setting up and organizing fitness activities, group classes, or wellness events.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including emergency procedures.
• Keep accurate records of facility usage, guest feedback, and incident reports as needed.
• Support the team in promoting wellness initiatives, memberships, and special programs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a fitness, wellness, or hospitality setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of fitness principles and gym equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-centric approach.
• Ability to multitask and remain proactive in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Basic Life Support (BLS) is an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
