Swissôtel Amsterdam is a four star deluxe hotel with 114 rooms. The rooms are equipped with a flat screen TV, minibar, luxurious bathroom, internet, telephone and a Nespresso coffee machine.

 


Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Front Office and Finance Department Intern. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both customer-facing activities and financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with our front office staff and finance team to contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Front Office:

Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and friendly manner.
Manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel and taking messages when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized front office area, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Assist in handling inquiries and providing information about the company's products or services.

Finance Department:

Assist in day-to-day financial activities, including income audit, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Participate in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analysis.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering relevant data and assisting in analysis.
Help maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Foster effective communication and collaboration between the front office and finance departments.
Work on special projects that require coordination between customer-facing and financial aspects of the business.
Gain exposure to the integration of front office functions with financial processes. 
 


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
