Job Description
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and installations across the property.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, including lighting, power distribution boards, wiring, sockets, and circuit breakers.
- Inspect and maintain electrical panels, distribution boards, switchgear, and related equipment.
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation.
- Assist with the maintenance of generators, electrical control systems, and associated equipment as required.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and guest room or operational maintenance requests.
- Conduct routine inspections and report electrical defects, safety hazards, and potential equipment failures.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, operational procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain records of preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and electrical inspections.
- Coordinate with the Engineering team and other departments to support daily operations, projects, and emergency repairs.
- Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment when carrying out electrical work.
Qualifications
Relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience, preferably in hotels or resorts in the Maldives.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and electrical safety procedures.
Ability to work independently, respond to emergencies, and follow safety standards.
