Duty Manager

We are ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, a three-star hotel with 644 rooms, 5 F&B outlets, meeting rooms, and most importantly, a team of 80 fantastic colleagues who are ready for our guests every day!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and guest-oriented Duty Manager for our hotel! Do you love making guests feel special and want to be part of a great team with a passion for hospitality? Then read on!

Who are we looking for?
As a Duty Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the hotel. You are the first point of contact for guests and handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback. You are responsible for leading and motivating the team. You work closely with all departments to creatively exceed our guests' expectations. You are part of the emergency response team and are also responsible for reporting incidents involving guests and staff.

You will help your colleagues from all departments when it gets busy. And of course you will surprise our guests with special moments. 

Who are you?

• You have completed a Hospitality or Hotel Management degree;
• You have 1 year of work experience in a similar position;
• You speak Dutch, English, and possibly a second foreign language;
• You enjoy thinking outside the box and are always stress-resistant;
• You are a strong communicator, both in Dutch and English; 
• You can work shifts from 07:00 till 15:00 and from 15:00 till 23:00 and you understand that in Hospitality it is sometimes necessary to stay a bit longer to help out. 
• You are available for 3 days a week, also during the weekend.
