Director of Technical Services (m/f/x)

Balancing storied architectural features with a contemporary design aesthetic and curated artwork, Fairmont Golden Prague celebrates Czech art and glassmaking through its interiors, location and experiences.

As we continue to grow and refine our operations, we are seeking a Director of Technical Services to lead our engineering team and ensure the seamless operation of all technical systems and infrastructure.

As Director of Technical Services, you will be the strategic and operational leader responsible for all engineering and maintenance functions. You will play a key role in shaping the technical foundation of our hotel, solving complex challenges, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and guest-ready environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering and maintenance team.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, etc.).
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage technical budgets, procurement, and contractor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in technical services.

• Proven experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong technical knowledge across building systems and infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving challenges.
• Fluent in English.
• EU passport is a a big advantage.
