Job Description

  • To assume full responsibility for the cost-effective operation of the POMEC Department.
  • To prepare the annual and revised POMEC budget in close cooperation with the Financial Controller and management, commensurate with operational requirement of the property.
  • To keep accurate records and monitor closely all POMEC budget expenditures and to ensure that the budget is adhered to and costs strictly controlled.
  • To allocate and countersign all invoices chargeable to the POMEC budget before being processed and charged.
  • To establish an efficient system for the control and verification of all fuel deliveries to the premises.
  • To supervise closely all engineering personnel in the performance of their duties.
  • To delegate duties and responsibilities, as required, to the Assistant Engineer(s).
  • To develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program for all equipment in the hotel, including kitchen and laundry.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar leadership in a 5-star hotel .
  • Proficient in all aspects of building operations and facilities management.
  • Strategic Planner and proficient in making annual operating budget for the department.
  • Proficient in organizational planning with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with attention to details and open to different cultures.
