Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team in Mysuru, India. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of our facilities while driving innovation and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to optimize facility performance and reduce downtime
- Oversee all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and building infrastructure systems
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards in Mysuru, India
- Develop and manage annual engineering budgets and capital expenditure plans
- Implement and monitor energy management systems to improve efficiency and sustainability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance guest experience through innovative technical solutions
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Lead engineering aspects of renovation projects and new installations
- Analyze technical data and prepare reports for senior management
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong expertise in MEP systems, fire safety regulations, and building standards
- In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Mysuru, India
- Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects and teams
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and energy management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Excellent budgeting and financial management abilities
- Proficiency in project management and CMMS software
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on, organized, and safety-focused approach to operations
- Experience in hospitality or related industries is highly desirable
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
