Job Description

Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. The role oversees the hotels Restaurant, Racing Bar, Foyer Bar, Afternoon Tea provision and a Meetings & Event department with ability to cater for up to 250 people for dinner.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing food and beverage operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operations, including menu planning, stock management, staff training, and financial performance. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will work closely with the kitchen brigade, front-of-house staff, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive guest experience. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, managing client relationships, and implementing cost control measures. Qualifications

Qualifications:

  •  Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management.
  •  Strong leadership and team management skills.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  •  Proven track record of achieving financial targets.
  •  In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  •  Proficiency in stock management and cost control.
  •  Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  •  Customer-focused with a passion for hospitality.
  •  Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  •  Experience with menu planning and development.
  •  Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  •  Proficiency in using restaurant management software.
  •  Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  •  Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  •  Experience in managing client relationships.
  •  Ability to analyse financial reports and data.

 


Additional Information

Key Responsibilities:

 

·  Oversee daily food and beverage operations.

·   Ensure high standards of quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

·   Develop and implement menus in collaboration with the Head Chef.

·   Manage stocks and order supplies as needed.

·   Train, supervise, and evaluate staff performance.

·   Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures.

·   Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

·   Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints.

·   Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

·   Develop and maintain client relationships.

·   Plan and execute special events and promotions.

·   Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organisation.

·   Prepare and analyse reports on sales, costs, and customer feedback.

·   Implement and monitor standard operating procedures.

·   Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

·   Foster a positive and productive work environment.

·   Manage scheduling and payroll for the food and beverage team.

·   Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.

·   Develop and implement training programs for staff.
