Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Do you have an appetite for career progression and ready to take your culinary skills to a world-class platform? Take your career to a whole new level with us and join our kitchen team in our award-winning hotel!

 

  • Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation for all culinary departments (Outlets, Banquets, In-Room Dining, Employee Dining)
  • Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
  • Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
  • To consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned

 

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Qualifications

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Creative and passionate about food and customer service
  • Must be able to work any shift assigned, such as holidays, weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
  • Previous experience in the culinary field required
  • Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent an asset
  • Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Responsible for State & Federal Food Handlers certification (mandatory)
