Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality, flavorful dishes to all guests, both internal and external. The ideal candidate will work efficiently, professionally, and with a friendly attitude, ensuring that every dish meets the hotel’s standards of excellence. You will assist in daily kitchen operations, maintain hygiene standards, follow all recipes and portioning guidelines, and support your team to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes for all guests, ensuring professional, efficient, and friendly service.
  • Assist in kitchen operations and support Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef, and Sous Chef.
  • Follow standard recipes, portion control, and ensure high-quality food output.
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety (HACCP), and safety standards at all times.
  • Prepare mise-en-place, raw ingredients, and store materials according to standards.
  • Operate at buffet or other kitchen stations as required.
  • Keep work areas, cold rooms, and kitchen equipment clean and organized.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of cooking experience, preferably in hotels or fine dining.
  • WSQ Food Safety certificate is an advantage.
  • Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a cook role, preferably in hotels or restaurant establishments
  • WSQ Food Safety certificate is an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and food presentation
  • Awareness of food provenance, ingredient quality, and portion control
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and hygiene procedures

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
