It's a place where lifestyle and career can genuinely coexist, and for the right person, it's a sea change worth making. At the heart of it all, Novotel, Mercure and ibis Darwin Airport Resorts are in the middle of an exciting transformation. Airport Development Group has invested $25 million to create a world class destination, with major upgrades across accommodation, dining and events, all set within newly landscaped tropical gardens that capture the spirit of the Top End.

As part of the global Accor network with over 5,700 hotels across 110 countries, we are guided by a clear purpose: pioneering the art of responsible hospitality, connecting cultures with heartfelt care.

Here, you don't just work in hospitality. You become a Heartist.

Job Description

At our Darwin Airport properties, conferences and events are more than a revenue stream - they're an experience we're proud to deliver. We're looking for someone who understands that great sales come from great relationships, and that a client who leaves impressed is a client who comes back.

You'll manage the end-to-end sales process across our three properties- Novotel, Mercure and ibis. You'll be responsible from the first enquiry through to a seamless handover to our events team. You'll bring new business in, nurture existing accounts, and make sure every client feels genuinely looked after along the way.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively seeking new business while developing and growing existing accounts
  • Managing and converting conference and events enquiries across all channels
  • Building lasting relationships with corporate clients, PCOs and event planners
  • Preparing tailored proposals that reflect each client's needs and maximise revenue
  • Conducting site inspections and famils that showcase our properties at their best
  • Working closely with our Food & Beverage and Operations teams to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Keeping our pipeline and CRM records accurate and up to date
  • Contributing to sales strategy and monthly forecasting

Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • Experience in conference and events sales or a similar client-facing hospitality role
  • A natural ability to build rapport and maintain relationships over the long term
  • Strong communication skills - you listen well, respond promptly and follow through
  • Commercial awareness - you understand how to maximise revenue while delivering real value to clients
  • The ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines with care and attention to detail
  • An understanding of hotel operations and what makes a great event experience
  • Full Australian working rights - this role is not available for sponsorship at this time
