Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a talented and passionate Commis 2 - Pastry to join our culinary team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for excellence.
- Prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and standards
- Assist the Pastry Chef and team members in daily operations
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of desserts
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking skills
- Proficiency in using pastry equipment and tools
- Understanding of various pastry styles and techniques
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Culinary diploma or certificate in pastry arts (preferred)
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Passion for creating high-quality desserts and pastries
