Job Description

In this role you will:

Under the supervision of the Executive Chef and senior chefs:

  • Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet service.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace while ensuring high-quality and well-presented products.
  • Implement and maintain strict stock rotation procedures to minimize wastage. Ensure effective stock control.
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned. 
  • Organize assigned sections to ensure efficient and productive operations.
  • Ensure all food produced adheres to kitchen recipes and standards.
  • Check that all food is stored and handled correctly according to current food health and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor daily kitchen food and product needs and inform the supervisor well in advance.
  • Assist and liaise with the chef on duty as required.

  • Demonstrates a keen eye for detail and a commitment to exceptional service.
  • Capable of working effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Able to work independently and show initiative in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and energetic.
  • Strong focus and enthusiasm for hotel operations.
  • Confident and articulate in communication, with excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and networking skills.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Exhibits strong personal integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members.
  • Adaptable and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.
  • Exemplifies Accor values and the Heartist culture.

Unlimited working rights in Australia is a must. Work visa sponsorship is not provided.
