Job Description

What you will be doing:  

  • Manage Housing telephone, email, and counter inquiries including but not limited to: guest passes, parking passes, Lifestyles cards, maintenance concerns, roommate issues, activity registration. Acting as an employee concierge.
  • Supervise, lead, and train a team of 10+ Agents on the uniform counter and in the field.
  • Willingness to learn all Agent tasks to enable a bottom up leadership style, confidence when training agents on tasks, and the ability to be able to complete any and all tasks required to achieve our guest service goals.
  • Ensure daily cleaning tasks of attendants are complete to the expected standard.
  • Ensuring apartment units are cleaned and maintained by conducting regular inspections and working with existing residents to ensure a clean and well maintained unit. Reporting on any maintenance and or health and safety concerns in units.
  • Working with existing residents to ensure a clean and welcoming experience for newly arriving residents, using empathy to find the best solutions for all parties.
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to scheduling and assignment of daily tasks.
  • Promote safe working practices and proper use of PPE.
  • Working with the Colleague Services Coordinator on the tracking, delivery and/or removal all furniture inventory and appliances.
  • Working with the Colleague Services Coordinator to manage all inventories including furniture, uniform, and operating supplies.
  • Working with the Colleague Services Coordinator to Manage and maintain accuracy of the arrival/departure process.
  • Working with the Colleague Services Coordinator to Order supplies and equipment through the use of internal accounting software as needed.
  • Assisting the Housing Leadership team managing the uniform counter operating, including; uniform services, mail, and equipment rental.
  • Assisting the Housing Leadership team with uniform inventory management.
  • Assist in managing the waitlist and room assignment process.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues across hotel departments.
  • Conduct audits of Housing records and property management system.
  • Verbal and written communication with tenants and hotel colleagues
  • Oversee the cleanliness, organization and inventory of Storage and Recycling Bays
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives.
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Possess a strong desire and talent to teach, coach and inspire a team of diverse employees
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or other leadership role an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications required
  • Previous customer service, administration and housekeeping experience an asset
  • Prior experience in administration of property management or maintenance software an asset.
  • Understanding of property maintenance and preventative maintenance an asset.
  • Must be able to comfortably lead and performance manage a team of 10+ employees
  • Valid class 5 license required, class 4 license with a clean abstract preferred
  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
  • Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
  • Occasional physically demanding duties in residence and outdoors: encompassing standing, walking, bending & lifting (25kg)
