Job Description

Starting Rate of Pay: $19.60/hr CAD

The position is responsible for uplifting and maintaining the colleague moral and lifestyle on property, while completing daily administrative tasks at the Colleague Concierge Desk. This position requires a personable and enterprising individual who can provide a high level of service to all Colleagues by communicating information, assisting with inquiries, and welcoming new colleagues to property. In this role you will support the hotel by:

  • Servicing the Colleague Concierge Desk by receiving and directing communications and enquiries from colleagues via face to face, phone, or electronic interactions.
  • Daily distribution and upkeep of colleague uniform inventory. Including coordinating with the Laundry Department, in-house tailor, and 3rd party businesses to ensure all uniforms are up to Fairmont standards.
  • Daily organization and distribution of personal colleague mail, including regular audits and maintenance of records in accordance with existing policies.          
  • Actioning the colleague pre-arrival and welcome process, including but not limited to communicating with and greeting all incoming colleagues, issuing uniforms, and processing all necessary housing paperwork
  • Communicate with Colleague Services to ensure that all tenant concerns are addressed in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with T&C and Security to communicate colleague concerns and address matters of rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous customer related experience is an asset
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license is a requirement
  • Excellent knowledge of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, the town of Jasper, and local attractions preferred
  • Previous relevant experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering professional, amicable, and engaging service.
  • Knowledge of Canva Design Suite an asset
  • Knowledge of social media platforms an asset
  • Possession of good verbal and written communication, organizational and collaborative skills. 
  • Proficient in multitasking and performing well in fast-paced environments

Your team and working environment:

  • Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel
  • Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resort in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer
  • Hospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connections
  • Sitting – 1-3 hrs/day
  • Walking and Standing: 5 hrs/day
  • Physical effort: medium – required to lift up to 30 lbs

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
