Mercure Melbourne Doncaster is seeking a passionate and talented Chief Engineer to lead our Engineering Department. Reporting to the General Manager, our Chief Engineer will be responsible for the entire engineering operations of the hotel’s systems, plant and equipment. Overseeing the management of the department's team members and ensuring the budget is utilized efficiently and effectively will ensure you and the hotel can deliver exceptional guest experiences. Key responsibilities also include (but not limited to) ensuring Australian building compliance requirements are met, championing hotel environmental and sustainability initiatives, ensuring Mercure Brand Standards are adhered to, and maintaining the hotel's assets.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following (but not limited to):

• Proven experience in a Chief Engineer role;
• Possess the knowledge & understanding of the relevant rules & regulations;
• Excellent administrative skills, with meticulous attention to detail;
• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal abilities;
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and 
• Ability to work flexibility (Weekends, Nights etc).
