Job Description

Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Part Time Chef to join our team of inspired hospitality professionals. You will be working the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and food prep for our all-day dining menu and Distrikt Cafe.

What you will be doing:

  • Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained.
  • Assist with ordering, inventory management, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of ingredients.
  • Oversee, train and develop the kitchen team.

 


Qualifications

 

  • Trade qualifications or soon to be completed 
  • Preferably be experienced in buffet breakfast service/lunch service
  • Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost
  • Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests
  • Have great communication skills & a positive attitude
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
