About Orient Express Venezia
Orient Express will open its second hotel in Italy at the exceptional in Venice. Architect and interior designer Aline Amar d’Amman, alongside her studio Culture in Architecture, has been entrusted to design and decorate the space.
Venice, once the gateway to Constantinople and a mythical stop on the legendary Orient Express train – that opened its doors in 1919 with the completion of the Simplon tunnel linking Switzerland to Italy – will be the home of the second Orient Express hotel, set to open in 2026.
The Chef de Rang is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive, personalized, and professional service to guests in accordance with the highest fine dining standards. The role requires ownership of an assigned section, ensuring seamless service, attention to detail, and a consistent focus on guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
The successful candidate will possess excellent knowledge of food and beverage service, demonstrate confidence in interacting with guests, and work closely with the kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure smooth operations and an outstanding level of hospitality. The Chef de Rang is expected to anticipate guests' needs, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and contribute to creating memorable experiences through impeccable service and professionalism.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining restaurants, or Michelin-starred establishments. A strong understanding of fine dining service standards, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining restaurants, or Michelin-starred establishments, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service in high-end dining environments. A strong understanding of fine dining standards, service etiquette, food and beverage knowledge, and guest engagement is essential.
The candidate demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a professional appearance and demeanor, and the ability to build positive relationships with both guests and colleagues. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain composed under pressure are required.
A genuine passion for hospitality, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences are key to success in this role. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
