Chef de Partie

We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our vibrant culinary team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre. With over 370 rooms, a sparkling pool, a lively lagoon for water fun, delicious dining options, and a state-of-the-art convention centre for 1,500 guests, our coastal resort is the ultimate destination for excitement.

As a proud member of the Accor Group, you'll play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

We are looking for a passionate and talented Chef de Partie with full working rights. In this role, you'll craft high-quality dishes, oversee kitchen operations, ensure food safety, and develop new menu items while mentoring junior staff. You'll gain experience in various kitchen areas, including à la carte, buffet, cold larder, mise-en-place, and banquets. A background in diverse cooking styles and preparation techniques is essential, as is your dedication to supervising, training, and developing the kitchen brigade.

• Trade qualifications and previous experience in the hotel industry preferred
• Knowledge of food safety requirements
• Service oriented with an eye for detail
• Time management skills with the ability to multitask  
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members 
• Ability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
