Job Description

Role Overview

As a Butler at Banyan Tree Dubai, you are responsible for delivering highly personalised, intuitive, and discreet service throughout the guest journey. You will anticipate guests' needs, manage individual preferences, and create memorable experiences that reflect Banyan Tree's commitment to exceptional luxury hospitality.

You are a key ambassador of the Banyan Tree brand, ensuring every interaction is delivered with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care while maintaining the highest levels of privacy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Arrival & Personalised Service

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide a seamless arrival experience.
  • Escort guests to their accommodation and introduce room features, resort facilities, and available services.
  • Build rapport with guests and understand their individual preferences to personalise their stay.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of guest profiles, preferences, and special occasions.

Butler Services

  • Coordinate all aspects of the guest stay, acting as the primary point of contact for requests and personalised services.
  • Arrange unpacking and packing services where requested.
  • Coordinate dining reservations, transportation, spa appointments, activities, and special experiences.
  • Deliver amenities, gifts, and personalised welcome arrangements.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer thoughtful recommendations and assistance.
  • Ensure all guest requests are fulfilled promptly, accurately, and discreetly.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Deliver exceptional luxury service in accordance with Banyan Tree brand standards.
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Resolve service recovery situations promptly, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Create memorable moments through personalised attention and genuine hospitality.
  • Maintain the highest level of guest confidentiality at all times.

Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, Food & Beverage, Spa, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate guest preferences, VIP requirements, and special requests effectively across departments.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the stay and proactively follow up where appropriate.
  • Ensure smooth coordination for arrivals, departures, celebrations, and special events.

Operational Support

  • Maintain accurate records of guest preferences and service requests.
  • Ensure Butler stations and guest service areas remain organised and presentable.
  • Support Front Office and Guest Relations during busy operational periods.
  • Stay informed of resort facilities, promotions, events, and local attractions to provide accurate recommendations.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all hotel policies, service standards, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure guest privacy, confidentiality, and security are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain professional grooming and presentation in line with Banyan Tree standards.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and security procedures throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Butler, Guest Relations Executive, Concierge, or in a luxury Front Office role within a luxury hotel or resort preferred.
  • Strong understanding of luxury guest service and personalised hospitality.
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel operations and guest journey management.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are highly advantageous.
  • Experience in luxury resorts or villa operations is preferred.
