Job Description

SKYBAR Barback/Bussers are responsible for assisting in ensuring efficient service of all beverages and bar services, while also facilitating the cleanliness of Skybar.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Welcomes and entertains all customers to the venue professionally and courteously, according to the established venue sequence of service.
  • Assure opening checklist is completed, and the bar area is prepared for opening.
  • Always use the 10/5 rule when encountering guests.
  • Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
  • Follow stablished carding policy, ensuring 21 years of age for alcohol consumption
  • Assist in food and/or beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Assist, support and work with bartenders and waiters
  • Clean and maintain tables and area throughout your shift.
  • Set up and breakdown the bar
  • Wash and Polish all glassware
  • Ensure consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality
  • Ensure order of bar and cleanliness in accordance to health and safety regulations
  • Ensure that bar is stocked to par levels
  • Restock and replenishing refrigerators, liquor cabinets according to par list when needed
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor.
  • Complete closing duties within your scheduled time.
  • Understand the operational set up and principle of the venue.
  • Provides customers with accurate information about the venue and property as well as our entertainment lineup.
  • Possess knowledge of the SKYBAR beverage menu and product offerings.
  • Constantly increasing knowledge of event and happenings inside of hotel.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintains knowledge of the venue floor plan and table numbers, seating the room evenly and consistently to maintain venue energy/table value per venue management’s instruction.
  • Be knowledgeable of hotel amenities and hours operating of operation.
  • Communicates all relevant information to the service team, putting the service team in the best possible position to execute flawless service.
  • Works with a high level of professionalism towards all customers, ensuring they will return to Skybar.
  • Communicates with management and service staff immediately to rectify any and all customer needs and requests.
  • Other duties as assigned

Pay Range: $19.61 - $19.61


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 1 year of bar experience, preferably in one of the following: upscale or lifestyle brand hotel, night club, or day club.
  • Speaking other languages is a plus, but not required.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State-Certified Alcohol Compliance Training (ABC/RBS)
  • Food Hander’s Card

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL WORK DEMANDS:

  • Able to stand during shifts
  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Regular and on-time attendance is critical.
  • Must have a flexible schedule: days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ennismore from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
