Job Description

Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for building strong client relationships and driving revenue growth? We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong sales focus to join our team. In this role, you’ll identify new business opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and develop strategic sales initiatives to expand our market presence. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love a challenge, and have a proven track record in business development and sales, we want to hear from you!

You will work in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing / wider Resort Team, contractors and suppliers to drive sales and revenue for accommodation, meetings and events. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Business development and account management within the MICE and Leisure Sectors or identified target markets
  • Provide or ensure delivery of quotations for conference and events proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs ensuring revenue is maximized.
  • Implement sales strategies as directed and ensure targets are achieved reviewing on a weekly basis.
  • Negotiation of rates, terms and conditions 
  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Food & Beverage to drive sales to ensure conversion targets are achieved and monitor success on a monthly basis.
  • Development and coordination of sales forecasts in conjunction with Director of Commercial and provide suggestions on strategies to achieve targets.
  • Monitor competitors  and provide recommendations on changes to current sell strategies.

Qualifications

  • You will have a strong passion and experience in managing key accounts, drive sales and revenue for accommodation, meetings & events.
  • An aptitude to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain conference incentive database of key contacts/clients. 
  • You will have excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills and have ideally worked in fast paced ever changing environment.
