Novotel Melbourne Glen Waverley is a successful 4.5 star hotel comprising 200 guest rooms, restaurant/bar &  conference facilities, situated in a bustling business district and at the gateway of the Dandenong Ranges.


Job Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for identifying, creating, and pursuing opportunities for growth within the company, while driving revenue and increasing profitability. You will establish and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders, and have a passion for Hotel operations!

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop new sales opportunities whilst effectively servicing the needs of existing clients.
  • Management of accounts/clients across all markets to ensure business is retained and developed where possible.
  • Manage strong relationships with guests, industry partners and other stakeholders. 
  • Develop, sustain, maximise yield and grow business from all target market segments to meet the budgeted revenue.
  • Develop and implement quarterly sales strategies for all relevant market segments including corporate, conferencing and events, inbound and leisure.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales expertise with the ability to initiate robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities with great impact and have the interpersonal skill to influence.
  • Tenacity to drive new business and achieve KPI's.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a high achieving, proactive and focused team.
  • Demonstrated sales experience in a hotel or related tourism industry is preferred.
  • Experience using Opera Cloud and a CMS system would be advantageous.
