Centrally located in the heart of Cairns City, our hotel offers 324 elegantly appointed rooms, 13 versatile meeting spaces, Coco’s Kitchen & Bar and premium in-room dining. Every detail reflects our commitment to exceptional service and unforgettable experiences.
As we continue to set new standards in hospitality, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive. In this pivotal role, you will play a central part in growing revenue across our MICE, Corporate, and Leisure segments—helping to shape not only client experiences but also the ongoing success and evolution of our iconic five-star hotel.
We’re looking for a motivated and strategic Business Development Executive to lead revenue growth across our MICE, Corporate, and Leisure segments. This is a key sales role within our iconic five-star hotel, focused on proactive business development, strategic account management and strong conversion performance across key market segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted sales action plans across MICE, corporate and leisure markets to achieve revenue and market share objectives
- Proactively identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities through networking, prospecting and market research
- Build and maintain strong relationships with PCOs, incentive agencies, corporate decision-makers, wholesalers and leisure partners
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, driving retention, negotiated agreements and incremental revenue
- Convert inbound enquiries efficiently with timely follow-up, strategic negotiation and attention to detail
- Collaborate with Accor National Sales and internal hotel departments to maximise cross-selling opportunities and deliver seamless client experiences
- Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis and performance reporting to support commercial strategy
- Represent Pullman Cairns International at trade shows, industry events and networking opportunities to strengthen brand presence and generate measurable ROI
- Proven success in hospitality sales across MICE, corporate and leisure segments
- Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed revenue targets, ADR goals and portfolio KPIs
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into measurable results
- Confident negotiator with excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders
- Strategic, proactive and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple market segments effectively
- Strong relationship builder who thrives in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with Opera Cloud and hospitality sales and catering systems preferred
