Job Description

This position is responsible for implementing proactive sales plans to achieve revenue goals targeting the Corporate segment. The role will represent the Accor group in sales calls as appropriate.

Your keys responsibilities will be:

1. Secure New Business & Expand Market Share

  • Position Pullman, Novotel, and Ibis Sydney Olympic Park as market leaders.
  • Identify and secure new corporate clients to grow market share.

2. Build Strong Partnerships

  • Work with business partners to increase conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create exceptional guest experiences and develop strong sales programs.

3. Develop & Implement Sales Strategies

  • Create a personal sales call plan with regular follow-ups.
  • Adapt strategies based on market trends and business needs.

4. Conduct Market Research & Identify Opportunities

  • Research new corporate business opportunities.
  • Utilize lost business contacts in Delphi to generate future bookings.

5. Provide Market Insights

  • Maintain effective communication with the Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) to share market intelligence and competitor insights.

6. Work with Accor National Sales Team

  • Leverage key accounts to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Assist in developing corporate sales strategies and monitor their effectiveness.

7. Build Relationships with Travel Management Companies (TMCs)

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with TMCs to secure corporate business.

8. Represent the Hotel at Industry Events

  • Participate in key trade and industry events to generate business leads and ensure ROI.

9. Understand Hotel Sales Vision & Offerings

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the hotel’s sales vision, products, services, and rate structures.

10. Maintain and Grow Existing Customer Base

  • Build strong relationships with existing corporate clients to retain business and maximize revenue potential.

11. Convert Sales Leads into Business

  • Identify potential leads and actively convert them into confirmed business.

12. Follow Hotel’s Rate Structure & Sales Processes

  • Adhere to the hotel’s rate structure, with exceptions approved by the DOSM.
  • Use Accor Sales Application (ASA) to record client interactions, sales activities, and rates.

13. Process Sales Correspondence Efficiently

  • Ensure all sales correspondence is processed within two working days, with timely follow-ups on potential business opportunities.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven ability to identify and secure new business.
  • 2-3 years sales experience, preferably in hotels or TMCs.
  • Experience in Sports & Entertainment markets is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Opera, Delphi, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset focused on driving business success.
