Job Description

From the moment guests step into our informal lobby hub to the panoramic views offered by our rooftop bar and dining area, Te Kaahu beckons a rare opportunity to revel in luxury and soak in the mesmerizing sunset vistas stretching from the Manukau Harbour to the heart of Auckland City.

We are seeking a Breakfast Supervisor that can motivate, inspire, and coach the morning Food & Beverage team, guaranteeing their success throughout the morning shifts. As the Breakfast Supervisor, you will be a vital part of our Te Kaahu dining experience in the morning and will be devoted, positive, and committed.

  • Lead, inspire, and train a team of Food & Beverage Heartists while offering guidance and support to guarantee a top-notch dining experience
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen team to plan the preparation of food and beverages, as well as making sure that orders are delivered on time and are presented perfectly
  • Respond to questions, concerns, and special requests from guests, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and that guests are satisfied
  • Encourage teamwork, communication, and professional growth among team members by fostering a positive work environment
  • Get acquainted with VIP and regular guests so that their desires and needs are satisfied
  • Able to work across a 7-day roster during the morning

Qualifications

You will be:

  • Starting your shift at 4.00am
  • Able to lead by example and believe in a strong team culture. Have a outstanding time management and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience in a 5-star hotel environment with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a large team
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all guests and team members
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of beverages including beer, wine, spirits and cocktails
  • A current LCQ and/or Managers Certificate is preferred but not required
