What you will be doing:

  • Support the Sommelier team in delivering an exceptional wine and beverage experience aligned with luxury and MICHELIN Guide–recommended standards
  • Assist guests with wine selections and pairings, confidently sharing knowledge of varietals, regions, and styles
  • Perform proper wine service, including presentation, opening, decanting, and serving according to established service rituals
  • Support day-to-day cellar operations, including receiving, organizing, storing, and rotating wine inventory
  • Assist with inventory counts, bin accuracy, and maintaining up-to-date wine lists
  • Collaborate closely with service and culinary teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Participate in wine tastings, trainings, and ongoing education to continuously develop wine knowledge and service skills
  • Support special events, tastings, and activations within The Botanist’s Dining Room, Bar, and private venues
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper care of glassware, tools, and cellar spaces
  • Uphold all responsible alcohol service guidelines, health and safety standards, and brand service expectations

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage service; fine dining, luxury hotel, or MICHELIN-recommended restaurant experience is an asset
  • A genuine passion for wine, beverages, and hospitality, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the Sommelier profession
  • Formal wine education or current enrollment in a recognized program (WSET Level 1–2, CMS Intro/Certified, or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of wine service standards, glassware, and basic wine storage practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage with guests
  • A polished, professional, and service-focused demeanor aligned with luxury brand standards
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly in cellar and inventory support
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and precision
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
