Job Description

Job Overview
Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Coordinator to join our Technical Department. The Engineering Coordinator will assist the Chief Engineer in managing departmental operations, maintaining technical documentation, coordinating workflow, and ensuring effective communication between the Technical Department and other divisions of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the Technical Department.

  • Manage and maintain technical records, reports, and documentation in line with departmental procedures.

  • Receive and process service requests from hotel departments via the Truva system, monitor completion, and update records accordingly.

  • Prepare purchase requests for materials, equipment, and spare parts for submission to the Procurement Department.

  • Monitor daily utility consumption (electricity, water, heating) and prepare monthly reports for the Finance Department.

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in organizing meetings, preparing materials, and distributing relevant information.

  • Maintain inventory control of technical materials and equipment, including monitoring min/max stock levels.

  • Conduct and support inventory counts for materials and fixed assets.

  • Prepare time sheets, shift schedules, and track attendance of Technical Department staff.

  • Monitor and document staff absences, ensuring timely submission of medical or other supporting documents.

  • Translate technical documents as required.

  • Ensure cleanliness, order, and safety in office and technical areas.

  • Support training programs and ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and labor regulations.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with hotel policies and legal requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.


Qualifications

  • Higher or vocational education in engineering, technical management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in hospitality or facility management.

  • Knowledge of technical record-keeping, warehouse management, and purchasing processes.

  • Understanding of health & safety regulations, fire protection rules, and labor legislation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel-specific systems (e.g., Sara, 1C).

  • Good command of English.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
