Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Bartender to join our team in Gurugram, India. In this role, you'll be the heart of our bar operations, crafting exceptional beverages, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. You'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your expertise, creativity, and collaborative spirit directly contribute to our guests' memorable experiences.   • Take orders and prepare a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and outlet specifications
  • Serve drinks and food items to guests courteously and efficiently, anticipating their needs and responding promptly
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of liquor brands, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic selections available, and provide knowledgeable recommendations
  • Maintain complete knowledge of glassware types, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes for each drink on the menu
  • Strictly comply with all local liquor regulations, including age verification procedures and responsible service practices to prevent service to minors and intoxicated individuals
  • Open and serve wine and champagne bottles with proper technique and presentation
  • Prepare specialty beverages including espresso and cappuccino drinks
  • Process guest payments accurately using point of sales (POS) systems, adhering to all cash handling and credit policies
  • Maintain meticulous cleanliness and sanitation of the bar top, tables, service areas, glassware, and all bar equipment
  • Complete opening duties including inventory checks, stock verification, garnish preparation, and equipment temperature checks
  • Complete closing duties including proper storage of goods, equipment cleaning, liquor securing, and bottle counting documentation
  • Resolve guest complaints professionally and empathetically, ensuring satisfaction and positive guest relations
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth bar operations and support overall restaurant or venue objectives
  • Monitor and manage bar inventory, requisition supplies as needed, and organize stock efficiently
  • Stay informed about hotel or venue services, local attractions, and activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Minimum 18 years of age (legal requirement to serve alcoholic beverages)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional bartending experience
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written communication
  • Proven experience in cash handling and point of sales (POS) system operation
  • Alcohol awareness certification or equivalent
  • Food handling certificate
  • Knowledge of local liquor regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
  • Ability to compute basic arithmetic accurately
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining health and safety standards

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in luxury hospitality or upscale bar settings
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wine and champagne service
  • Mixology certification or advanced bartending training
  • Espresso and cappuccino preparation skills
  • CPR certification
  • Familiarity with Indian beverages and regional drink preferences
  • Experience with inventory management systems
  • Bilingual capabilities (English and Hindi or other local languages)

Additional Information
