    Job Description

    The Bar Manager at MGallery Green Coast Hotel, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar or similar establishment, ensuring its efficient and effective functioning. This role includes managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, overseeing inventory control, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of the establishment.
    Key responsibilities include developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, monitoring staff performance, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring the bar is adequately stocked with all necessary supplies, including alcoholic beverages, mixers, and other essential items.

    Main Responsibilities and Duties

    In addition to their management duties, BAR Managers must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and vendors, and must be able to manage any conflicts that may arise in a professional and diplomatic manner.

    Overall, the BAR Manager plays a critical role in the success of a bar or similar establishment. They are responsible for ensuring that customers receive excellent service, that the establishment is clean and safe, and that the staff is well-trained and motivated to provide the best possible experience for all patrons.

    Mixologist Duties

    • Prepare and serve cocktails and other beverages.
    • Interact with customers, take orders and suggest drinks.
    • Maintain the bar area and keep it clean and organized.
    • Check customers' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
    • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
    • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
    • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
    • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails according to recipes.
    • Follow safety and sanitation policies when managing food and beverage.
    • Upsell drinks to customers when appropriate.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent knowledge of cocktail recipes, alcohol and liquor types, flavor profiles and garnish techniques.
    • Ability to work with a variety of equipment including shakers, blenders, and various other tools.
    • Strong understanding of customer service and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
    • Outstanding communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy bottles, trays and other equipment.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Must be 21 years of age or older.
