INK Hotel Amsterdam - MGallery is a luxurious lifestyle hotel and owes its name to the rich history of the building, as former home of the Dutch newspaper 'De Tijd' where stories were conceived, written and brought to life in ink. Because of this INK Hotel is the place ‘Where stories are yet to be written’. Our restaurant PRESSROOM is the living room for our hotel guests and locals. We serve delicious dishes made by our INKredible kitchen staff and our bartenders create cocktails with their own personal touch.

The Script

As Bar & Restaurant Manager, you are the face of PRESSROOM. You lead the team, keep oversight, and make sure everything in the restaurant runs smoothly. You’re the link between the Operations Manager and the F&B Supervisors, and you know exactly when to step in and when to roll up your sleeves yourself.

One day you’ll be right in the middle of operations: welcoming guests, advising on food and drinks, and ensuring everyone feels at home in our relaxed yet professional atmosphere. The next day, you’ll focus on the operational side of the business: coordinating schedules, processing hours, or placing orders. That variety is what makes your work dynamic and diverse.

Together with your team – consisting of F&B Supervisors, bartenders, F&B team members, part-timers, and an intern – you make sure every guest experiences the story of PRESSROOM. You know how to bring out your colleagues’ passion and translate that energy into inspiring service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You coach, motivate, and develop your team so that they enjoy their work just as much as our guests enjoy their visit.

In short: you’re the one steering the daily operations, safeguarding quality, and at the same time creating a warm and personal atmosphere. That’s how you make PRESSROOM every day the place where both guests and colleagues love to return.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bar & Restaurant Manager who will help us make the PRESSROOM story even more successful! We’re looking for someone who:

-       Has 1 year of leadership experience and a completed bachelor’s degree, or

-       Has 1–2 years of leadership experience;

-       Has at least 3 years of work experience in a Food & Beverage department;

-       Is available during weekdays and weekends;

-       Has a flexible schedule and can work mornings as well as evenings;

-       Is available for 38 hours per week;

-       Lives in the Netherlands and has accommodation;

-       Has knowledge of legal regulations regarding safety and social hygiene;

-       Speaks English fluently.
