A 292-room hotel, Mercure Gold Coast Resort spans over 3.5 hectares and is an oasis located amongst expansive gardens on the Gold Coast.  Overlooking the Resort’s pool and ninth Hole of the Palm Meadows Golf Course, ‘The Green Dining and Bar’ welcomes our guests, with extensive conference facilities and two stunning guest pools. 

We have the opportunity for a casual Banquets Attendant to join our fast paced and dynamic Food & Beverage Department.


Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Delivering warm and friendly service while working across the Resort’s Conferences & Events space,
  • Order taking while maximising sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling,
  • Offering additional support to the Food & Beverage department by way of the outlets: The Green Dining restaurant and bar, The Cart Takeaway, and the seasonal poolside Oasis Bar
  • Work as part of a focused team, living the culture of guest passion and excellent service.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Excellent communication skills and a high standard of grooming and personal presentation,
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience with a friendly, guest focused attitude,
  • The ability and flexibility to work across a seven day rotating roster, including late nights, weekends and public holidays,
  • Currently hold, or willing to obtain a QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
  • Experience within a hotel or resort restaurant, bar or banqueting department(s) will be highly regarded.
