Job Description

We are currently looking for a new Banqueting Manager to strengthen our team and offer unforgettable events to our guests. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the success of every event held within our 1,200 m2 of meeting space. While we primarily organize corporate events, we also frequently host large leisure groups.

What will you do?
As a Banqueting Manager, you will be part of our F&B team, but you will be responsible for the daily operations within our Convention Centre. You will maintain a healthy balance between office tasks and actively working on the floor. During quieter times in the Convention Centre, you will actively assist with other F&B outlets.

You will lead a team of two employees and work closely with the Banquet Sales department to prepare events, ensuring that daily operational aspects are executed meticulously. Some of the key performance indicators for you include:

  • Independent responsibility for your own domain, including recruitment, staffing, training, and supervision of Banqueting colleagues;
  • Planning and coordination of events;
  • Inventory management, conducting checks, and addressing losses or breakages;
  • Assisting the F&B Manager in developing the strategy for the Banqueting department;
  • Adopting a "Yes, we can" attitude because sometimes you can't predict what might go wrong, and if it does, you need to be able to adapt quickly to find a solution.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?
In this position, you are a pivotal figure in the field. You excel in connecting with both your colleagues and clients. You are the ultimate host, with a keen eye for detail, striving to make every event a success. Last-minute changes or requests do not intimidate you. Additionally, you identify with the following points:

  • You have completed a vocational education (MBO), preferably in Hotel Management or Event Management;
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or shift leader role;
  • You possess excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of AV systems is advantageous;
  • You are fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is highly advantageous.

What do we offer you?

  • In addition to a competitive Accor salary falling within pay scale 7 of the Hospitality Collective Labor Agreement, starting at € 2,958.15, there is also a bonus scheme of up to 10% of your annual salary;
  • Abundant opportunities for development and advancement within the Accor group;
  • 25 vacation days per year based on a full-time (38-hour) workweek;
  • An ALL Heartist card from Accor, offering exceptional discounts on hotel stays;
  • 24/7 access to our new Technogym fitness area;
  • Free parking on the hotel premises;
  • And last but not least... a team of approximately 140 enthusiastic colleagues always ready to assist!
