Banquet Server

Be a part of a spectacular event! As a Banquet Server with Fairmont Vancouver Airport, you will create a special event that our Guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team player, combined with your service skills and your engaging personality, will ensure that our Guests have a memorable experience.

What you will be doing:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings
• Responsible for setup and teardown of all meetings and events
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists
• Have full knowledge of all menu items being served
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• To maximize working hours, must be willing to assist throughout Food & Beverage division (In-Room Dining & Outlets)
• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Must possess and maintain a valid Serving it Right! Certification

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Constant lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.  The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
