Job Description

  • Assists in providing leadership in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments to maximize sales through the activities of the Sales Department and other employees.
  • Manage the Sales & Marketing team to maximize market position of the hotel on an ongoing basis.
  • Maximizes Accor hotels market share within Hotel’s area/territory.
  • Secure inbound corporate and domestic Conference and Incentive clients in agreed markets for the Hotel. Maintain business from within this segment.
  • Be aware of business peaks and troughs and contribute innovative ideas that contribute to the revenue and profitability.
  • Be pro-active in controlling costs, being fully aware of forecasted business and targeted profitability whilst maintaining standards.
  • Motivate and energize the staff to make proactive decisions in all their communications with clients.
  • Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.
  • Responsible for the training of sales team.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, inductively, and creatively.
  • Pleasant personality
  • Synergies across the network.
  • Strong Operational/Technical Knowledge.
  • 8+years’ industry experience in up market brands with 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Well versed with latest trends and techniques in market.
